The “Agent” Experience
As you probably know by now, I volunteered for the “Hope For Haiti Now” Telethon and experienced being part of something BIG and GLOBAL in effect.
I’m happy to share that the experience was beneficial in two ways.
I was able to help out in Haiti even when just receiving donations through calls and I experienced first hand the work of a call center agent.
As some of you know, I’m working as a recruitment coordinator turned marketing specialist and basic experiences like these are beneficial for me to market and strategize our company in the area the best way we can.
I was able to raise $ 1,000.00 plus in just 2 hours taking in calls from donors/sponsors who accepted the challenge with the MTV “Hope for Haiti Now” campaign.
As I said on my previous post about the campaign, this experience can bring about the challenge in doing small things for a bigger and greater impact. And indeed, it made me realize so much is at stake in Haiti that we cannot just ignore its call.
If given the chance to volunteer again, I wouldn’t think twice in writing my name again and receive calls to raise funds for something important.

You’re right! It was a great experience!
