Of Futures, Goals and Plans
I know it’s late but I wanted to share another post about something important tonight. Well, it can wait supposedly until tomorrow morning but I might forget what’s on my mind so why not post it now.
My Future
I’ve been wondering lately of what I did for the last 3 years and I realized that I haven’t done so much at all in fulfilling my god-given dreams. I mean, I always wanted to be a mobilizer and I guess I have neglected this particular passion for the last 3 years working in the corporate world.
Now I know that I will not last long in the corporate world as God has something in store for me in the mission field. Although I don’t know where or to what extent He wants me to do but I know, deep in my heart, I am born more than just being in an office and doing marketing stuff.
Okay, wait…you might confuse the word “more than” and think I am NOT thankful for my work, I am thankful and blessed to be working in one of the biggest call center in the country. But this is not my lifelong dream (it’s just a part of it!) and I believe God has called me to the harvest field (or to that effect…).
My Goals
I intend to work for more than a year in the company and then go for a sabbatical leave in the company and get into the opportunities to serve full time in ministry. I have been thinking lately about supporting a missionary, mobilizing youth to take part of the harvest and go for a mission trip somewhere in the 10/40 windows.
My goal is to be more adept with missions and take part myself. I have devoted 3 years already in the marketplace and I am hoping to do well in this area of ministry God-willing.
My Plans
My plan is to spend some time in Manila for work and get to be acquainted in living there. After that, I’ll be helping out I guess in NYMM and get to know how I can help.
I also plan to talk to my auntie, who is a missionary and might go for a mission trip with them by October or November 2010 in Cambodia.
I also want to enroll in a missions training and help myself in becoming an effective mobilizer.
A Lot Of Things, But GOD is still in control.
I might be misconstrued as someone who is fast to plan but slow to take action, so I have to get on my knees and listen intently to what God wants me to do this year.
And yes, there are a lot of things I can do with 12 months in a year but the only best option is to sit still, wait and get ready for the “GO” signal since GOD is still in control.
